Last week’s Texas Chapter Fall meeting and continuing education was a huge success. We offered eleven hours of continuing education over the course of two days. Thank you to everyone that came out and participated. It was especially nice to meet some of the new members. Several said it was one of the best meetings the Chapter has hosted. Special thanks to incoming President Patty Weber for creating the program and coordinating all the speakers. Attendees especially enjoyed being outside and not having so much classroom time. Everyone enjoyed the drone presentation and there were several conversations around the dinner table regarding possible Christmas gifts.
The wives took a quick trip over to Waco. It was also nice to get out and enjoy the beautiful weather. They visited Magnolia Market and several shops around the downtown Waco district.
I think the highlight of the event was the catering. Thank you to Freida’s Sweets & Meats, LLC which catered both lunch and dinner for our group. The food was amazing and so was the service.
The Fall Chapter meeting marks the beginning of a new year for the Chapter and with it the installation of new officers and directors. For 2017, Patty Weber, ARA will serve as President, Mickey Nixon, ARA will serve as President-Elect, Wayne Young, ARA will serve as Vice President and Robby Vann, ARA serves as Immediate Past President. Directors Kyle Amos, AFM, Ryan Healy, ARA and Michael Mays, ARA will serve in their second year of a two-year term. Directors Bryan Bednarz, ARA, Aaron Bierschwale, ARA and Mike Lansford, AFM will serve in their first year of a two-year term. Thank you to outgoing directors Kelly Jennings, ARA and Bill Thompson, AFM for their service on the board.
Here’s a group picture from the drone during the presentation. See y’all for the Spring meeting.
